Ok see from where you can start is first understating where the connections are going why don’t you draw this on a paper .
I have tried to create an overlay using the picture you provided to understand better you do something same for better understanding.
This is the pic of the pcb I have, Please guide me to draw the circuit diagram from this. I will attach top layer pic also
Here is the top layer picture of the PCB. Help me out in drawing the schematic from this. I am really interested in learning this. PIease help me in this. I am really greatful to you. Thankyou
Ok its pretty easy as its only single layer PCB what you can start with is identifying the controller IC and then just tracing its pins one by one.
Using Kicad u can do easily this way
https://www.kicad.org/blog/2022/12/Development-Highlight-December-Edition-features-coming-to-KiCad-7/
go to this link and navigate to “Background bitmaps in the board and footprint editor”
U2 is your controller IC so start by tracing its pins.
and you will see a video example.
U1 is controller IC as well
Thankyou for your answer but I am not able to understand to trace the connections between the componenets i.e reverse engineering it. Please hep me in understanding this and guide me to draw the schematic out of it.
Hey You can’t save the footprint like that but you can copy footprint from one design and paste to another design and then reassign the corresponding schematic symbol for it.
If you want to create a new footprint you have to create from the menu and the save it.
Let me know what you are trying to do.
I will help you out.
I have completed the schematic part, Now I have to generate the netlist but I am not able to do it. Please help me out in this.
So which version of KiCad you are on in KiCAD 7 they have totally changed how netlist is being handled now you don’t need to load the netlist you can manually assign nets in the schematic and it will be saved.
Which version you are on?
I am using kicad 7. Now I am using EasyEDA but I have PCB Layout and have to draw circuit diagram and create schematic. I am facing diificulty in finding out the connections between the componenets. So please guide me in this. Please help me in tracing the connections between the components and to draw the schematic from this.
The easiest way to start is identifying the passive components in the circuit like resisors, caps etc.
Then start from input power and keep on marking the components which ever is coming through.
Sure can you share the picture of the layout.
We can reverse engineer it.
Has your problem been solved?
No, Now I am trying in EasyEda. I have PCB layout, I have to create schematic out of it. But I don’t how to trace the connections and draw the circuit diagram out of it. Please give me the methodology how to trace the path and draw the circuit diagram.
