Hi Team,
The project we are currently working on involves the use of stepper motors with motor drivers for both linear and circular motion. However, we are experiencing an issue with one of the motors used for linear motion. Randomly, the motor gets stuck in the middle of its operation and emits a sound from inside, but it does not rotate. Interestingly, the other motors used for circular motion are functioning properly.
Could anyone provide insights into what might be causing this problem?
Hey Thanks for Posting can you give more information like where it’s stopping is ot same every time?and what driver u r using to run the motor?
Bholonath stepper motor, and driver I used , it stopped randomly. May be 1 th in 20 iteration,
Hello,
Would you please provide some more information about technology perspective like how you are operating motor with any controller or development board etc?
So that it would be really helpful for us to understand issue into details and can guide us from our end.

I’m using bh smart stepper motor driver to drive the motor, which is capable of modbus communication, a stm32 controller is used for communication. There are 4 motors, but 3 are in circular motion which is totally fine. But motor which in vertical motor stuck between randomly, there is a pulley machanism used in vertical section
Hello,
Thanks for providing few information from your end.
I would like to know that all 4 motors are connected with single STM32 MCU? If yes then all are connected over Modbus?
Would you please send me detailed block diagram and sample code as well like how you are operating it?
Also which STM32 MCU exactly are you using?
