I am a working professional with a non-technical background. I want to get into the embedded systems domain. I have already completed a 6-month course after college, but it was discontinued due to COVID-19. When I apply for jobs online, I am told that I do not have enough experience to be interviewed. Can anyone offer me some guidance? I am proficient in C and embedded C, but what other skills should I update my skillset with?

If you are proficient into C and Embedded C then your chances are really good for selection. There are also following topics which are required to learn to get good job into embedded domain like
1. Hardware Peripherals like UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, CAN, RS485 etc
2. Networking concepts like TCP/UDP, Socket Programming etc
3. Operating System like Linux or RTOS with some basic concepts
4. Operating System Fundamentals
5. IPC (Inter Processing Communication)
6. C Programming few Logical Knowledge
If you know above topics as well then i am sure that you can able to crack interview as well
