Nordic Semiconductor has set a new industry standard with its groundbreaking nRF54H20 multiprotocol system-on-chip ( SoC ), the first in the nRF54H Series. This SoC has proven its world-leading processing efficiency and superior processing performance, underscoring its revolutionary potential to enable innovative IoT end-products that were previously thought impossible.
Revolutionary Processing Efficiency and Performance
Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF54H20 SoC has been rigorously tested using the EEMBC ULPMark-CoreMark (ULPMark-CM) benchmarks, configured for both maximum processing efficiency and performance, using CoreMark as the workload. The results are nothing short of exceptional:
- Configured for maximum processing efficiency: Achieving an impressive ULPMark-CM score of 170 with 515 CoreMark.
- Configured for maximum processing performance: Achieving a remarkable ULPMark-CM score of 132 with 1290 CoreMark.
This exceptional score highlights the nRF54H20’s unique ability to combine processing efficiency and performance, a feat rarely seen in the industry. While most processors are optimized for one of these attributes, the nRF54H20 allows developers to harness both by dynamically switching between configurations.
A New Industry Norm
Svein-Egil Nielsen, Nordic’s CTO and EVP of R&D, commented on the remarkable results, stating, “Nordic has consistently set the standard for ultra-low power. By delivering world-leading processing efficiency and unmatched processing power, we’re establishing a new industry norm. The nRF54H20 is our fourth-generation product series. With it, we aim to redefine processing power and energy efficiency. We’re eager to see what Nordic’s customers can create with these wireless solutions.”
